I will always love food too much... Seriously though food is so ingrained into my very being. The whole part about needing it to live might have something to do with it... Or it might have something to do with being raised a nomad. Constantly moving all over this continent as a child, and now as an adult being partners with a Navy man, things haven't be able to settle. But I'll always have food to make me feel all warm and cozy like a family home can feel.
So fest your eyes on some warm and cozy meal ideas that wont leave you feeling to guilty in the morning.
1. Spicy Curried Quinoa Wrap with mint, peas and Tahini-Avocado-Citrus Slaw
2. Sweet potato ravioli with pecans and herb brown butter sauce
3. Orange glazed tempeh with kale and brown rice
Later tonight I will attempt to make the orange glazed tempeh! Will report pictures and details.
Indulge- Johnny Rose
It looooks good but I always feel so apprehensive adding mint to my foods- it just feels like such a "gum " or "tea" type of herb to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for finding my blog. I like your's so far :) Where the heck did you come up with Johnny Rose??
Mint actually works really great with wraps and anything with Asian influence or spicy foods! But I know what you mean.
ReplyDeletelol I had a feeling that once people I knew started adding me this question would arise. I wrote about it in my about me, but Johnny Rose was the original name my mom was going to name me, but my father said no... So it's now my alter ego and I so wish it was my name! So i decided to use it here and some times its the name i use for art work.
It tottttally fits you, I think. :)
